If you’re talking about 1986, I think he won the British Open that year. But he’s also the only one to have lost (in his career) every major in a playoff. Norman was (is) extremely talented and a trmenendous driver of the ball–much better than Tiger. However, under pressure he is very much like the rest of us, and he apt to crack under pressure. Having so many players get sooooo lucky on chip-ins to beat him would make most of crack too. Not everybody is made like Tiger or Jack.
I’m thinking I have to disagree with you. Greg Norman led every major going into Sunday one season, didn’t win any of them. If Phil does that I’ll loop him into that group.

Phil Mickelson is actually first place this week in two stat categories: Most double bogeys (5 doubles, 2 of them on a par 5) and most missed fairways.
Tiger is to Jeter as Phil is to Arod.
Tiger just gets the job done in an insane fashion and Phil over thinks and fails to show up when it counts.
Then again, His wife has been like sick and took a break for like 3 months. Tiger probably practices 8 Hours a day, unlike Mickelson.
Mickelson seems to have no legitimate chance of beating Tiger, at least right now. He’s made 2 double bogeys, and missed MANY putts under 10 feet today. His putter has just been ice cold.

LMAO, check this out! His second shot on the short par 4 11th went over the green, his third shot barely moved, his fourth shot landed 1.5 feet from the hole, and he MISSED THAT PUTT and made double bogey!
